The Language Centre at CESUGA offers the following services to professionals who wish to upgrade their level of communication skills in the English Language. Professionals may choose to carry out one or more seminars from the Soft Skills options and then go on to Specialized Seminars within their sector.
Intensive English: Soft Skills
PRESENTATION SKILLS: This intensive course on presentation skills will help to make anyone more effective and less stressful when having to make a presentation. Students will learn how to overcome the barriers to communicating ideas. Designing clear and effective visuals. Structuring your talk for clarity and making yourself understood in English. Practice how to handle a Q & A session. The essentials on speaking confidently before a group whether it be 2 people or 200. Minimum Level Required: B1-B2. INTERVIEW SKILLS and WRITING CVs: Learn to approach any job interview in English with confidence. Discover the best strategies for face–to-face, telephone/Skype interviews or group interviews and assessment sessions. Practice competence-based interviews. Learn how to draft a CV that will make you stand out. Minimum Level Required: B1. PROFESSIONAL TELEPHONING IN ENGLISH: Learn how to overcome fear of telephone conversations within an English-speaking environment. Practice spelling and numbers quickly and with precision. Discover how to hold client’s attention by making relevant small talk. Learn the cultural aspects of telephoning and how to avoid common errors in conversations. Minimum Level Required: B1. WRITTEN PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATIONS: EMAILS, MESSAGES, TEXTS: Understanding and improving persuasive writing skills in business will be the primary focus of the course. Students will learn how their writing skills provide a positive image of themselves and of their company. The course will also focus on written Spanish and how its translation to written most often causes confusion. Minimum Level Required: B2. EXECUTIVE NEGOTIATION STRATEGIES: Understanding the importance of building relationships in negotiations is essential in an English speaking context. Learn useful techniques to build intercultural relationships. Improve your listening skills in order to reduce misunderstandings. Identify and learn how to handle conflict during business meetings and negotiations in an English speaking environment. Minimum Level Required: B2. PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING: Learn how to define problem-solving. Understand the basics of problem solving and decision-making using the English language. Practice brainstorming to acquire innovation and creative thinking skills. Learn to think outside the box in English. Minimum Level Required: B1. ESSENTIALS OF PUBLIC SPEAKING: VERBAL AND NON-VERBAL Developing good communications skills is fundamental for success. Learning to engage an audience is a skill that can be improved with time and practice. Inspiring an audience using verbal and non-verbal language will help you build your brand, sell your products and yourself. Learn to conquer fear and make any speech in front of any audience. Le Centre de Langues à CESUGA offre les services suivants à tous ces professionnels qui cherchent à améliorer leurs compétences communicatives. Vous pourriez choisir une ou plusieurs options parmi les séminaires proposés orientés vers les Soft Skills et après continuer avec les Séminaires Spécialisés programmés pour votre secteur.
PRESENTATION SKILLS: CAPACITE À SE PRÉSENTER «Je dois être capable de parler devant un public francophone» «Préparation ! Quand on se présente le fond est aussi important que la forme. Au cours de ce séminaire nous étudierons les stratégies de base de préparation et de réponse pour que votre présentation touche le public d’une manière efficace, communicative et empathique. Niveau: B1-B2.
INTERVIEW SKILLS and WRITING CVs: PASSER UN ENTRETIEN ET RÉDIGER UN CV «Je vais travailler dans un pays francophone et je veux travailler mon profil professionnel.» Vous souhaitez vous préparer à démarrer une nouvelle vie professionnelle en France, en Suisse, en Belgique, au Canada…? Au cours de ce séminaire nous vous apprendrons comment passer un entretien d’embauche en français et rédiger un CV et une lettre de motivation pour que vous fassiez une bonne première impression. Niveau: B1-B2.
